7/20/2010-Rest in peace Martina
Dear friends,
With unmeasurable sadness in my heart, I am writing to tell you all, that after a long year of suffering and fighting with the cancer, Martina lost the battle. Martina and her family spent the last seven months in Germany, at a children's clinic, where Martina had two bone-marrow transplants and received countless therapies and medications.
Last year Martina's story shook the whole country of Macedonia, when the authorities didn't want to allow funds for Martina's transplant in Germany; even though the Macedonian medical professionals couldn't do anything about her wellbeing. After some long debates and pressure from the public, concerning the case, Martina was given a second chance. The government allowed 200.000 euros, money that was used for Martina's first transplant. The second transplant, that costs almost as much, Martina's family is going to have to pay off in the near future.
If you are willing and able to help the family in these hard times, you are welcome to donate here on this web page, simply by pushing the "donate" button.
R.I.P. our little princess, you will be greatly missed.
Our deepest condolences to the family.
3/18/2010 - Martina
Dear friends of Martina ,
Martina had a bone marrow transplant two weeks ago and the transplant itself was successful, unfortunately there have been some setbacks. She has developed an infection and the only way to combat that is with another bone marrow transplant. Hopefully this is just a bump in the road on her way to recovery. Her family is still in continued need of financial and spiritual support. Thank you for your love, prayers and donations.
Donations can simply be made by pressing the "Donate" button as well as on the account numbers that are listed under "About Us".
Our friends that are currently in Macedonia can also use the following numbers to make a donation: 070 143 143 and 075 143 103.
